Dr. Cory Steed, OD

Doctor

​​​​​​​Dr. Steed graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2001 with honors, then went on to complete a residency in ocular disease and surgical management. During his residency he met and married his wife, Holly, and they made their home Las Vegas.

After working in a variety of clinical settings he decided to open his own practice in order to have more autonomy in working with patients. Since opening in 2003 Doctor Steed has incorporated many technologies that allow for precise measurements of the visual system as well as early detection of diseases and disorders. Practicing using the latest technological advances is a benefit for every individual in the practice, making exam encounters efficient and effective.

When not at work, Doctor Steed enjoys spending time with his family, which consists of his wife, Holly, and four children. In the pre-dawn hours Doctor Steed rides road bikes, normally leaving early enough to get in an hour or two ride before work. Longer rides are reserved for Saturdays. The group he rides with are always looking for other interested in cycling. Ask him about time and place if you’re interested in a ride.

Holly has been with Dr. Steed’s practice from the start. She and Dr. Steed met and married in Las Vegas during his residency. A few years later they decided to open their own practice so they could offer the care they wanted to their patients. Many established patients will remember the days when it was Dr. Steed, Holly, and a baby behind the counter.

As the family and practice grew Holly transitioned to a work from home scenario, years before COVID made that popular. Working from home allows her to teach voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, and any number of other instruments.

She is extremely organized and meticulous, which really helps when working with insurance companies. She is a great asset to the team!

Kate is a Las Vegas native with three years of expertise in the optical field. She loves being the first step in a patient's journey, providing the precise testing needed for a perfect visit with Dr. Steed. For Kate, the best part of the day is seeing a patient leave with a smile.

Out of the office, Kate is a fan of modern gaming and a self-proclaimed Disneyland expert. She’s also a lover of all things small and whimsical. Keep an eye out for her latest collection of trinkets and accessories that bring a bit of extra magic to the office!

Hi, I’m Yesenia! I was born and raised in Las Vegas and am proud of my Salvadorian roots. As part of the front desk team, I am one of the first people to welcome you into our office. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and my dog Charlie. In my free time, I love trying out new coffee shops and going shopping.

I serve as the front desk coordinator and insurance verification specialist, where I am committed to ensuring each patient’s experience is organized, efficient, and welcoming from the moment they arrive. I manage scheduling, patient communication, and insurance verification with a strong attention to detail, helping to create a smooth and stress-free process for both patients and staff.

Outside of my professional responsibilities, I value my faith as a guiding foundation in both my work and daily life. I also have a well-known appreciation for licorice (yumm), which adds a small but personal touch to my day. I believe that professionalism, compassion, and a positive attitude are essential in delivering exceptional patient care. I look forward to meeting you!

Angelica is an Optical Technician with three years of experience guiding patients through their eye care journey. She enjoys building genuine connections and helping each patient feel at ease during their visit. Outside of work, she loves drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors. In the office, Angelica is known for greeting every patient with kindness and understanding, creating a warm, welcoming, and comfortable experience.

Keji

Optician

Keji is passionate about helping patients feel confident, comfortable, and truly seen in their eyewear. She enjoys getting to know each patient and making the process of choosing frames and lenses feel simple, supportive, and even enjoyable rather than overwhelming. Her goal is always to help patients leave not only seeing better, but feeling better too.

Outside of work, Keji is a new mom and is currently soaking up life with her newborn. This new chapter in her life has deepened her appreciation for patience, kindness, and support—qualities she brings into every patient interaction.
